Centroc GP Fiber Optic Tuner for measurement of geometrical parameters at fiber optic connectors.
Key Features
+Visual examination The Centroc is a special designed auto-focus microscope with a camera and a precision chuck for ~ 2.50 mm or 1.25 mm ferrules to measure geometrical parameters of fiber optic connectors. The unit is primarily designed to measure assembled connectors on cables and laser pigtails. Measuring heads are available for all standard connectors and ferrules. The PC controlled unit is standard equipped with universal active devices (LED ~ 630 nm) for 2.50 and 1.25 mm connectors and ferrules. Note: Pigtailed lasers need to be powered at ± 0.250 mW externally. and may need a special camera for the 1300 or 1550 nm window (optional).
The CENTROC collects a pre-selected number of near-field scans from the fully filled illuminated fiber core. Between the scans the connector is manually rotated over 45, 60 or 90 degrees. The scans are processed by machine vision software in order to calculate: The eccentricity vs. Key. The eccentricity fitted (for non keyed ferrules). The ferrule roundness error. The keying angle PC and APC. The keying off-set angle PC and APC. The polishing angle at the fiber core PC and APC.
